How we use what you send us, and which cookies we set.

What we collect when you send the form
The type of job, the site postcode, your name and your phone number. If you add details, also your email address, your timeframe, your role and the description you write.
With the form we also receive the page you sent it from, the page you first landed on, the time of your first visit, the website that sent you to us and, if you came from an advert, the advert's click reference and campaign tags. This tells us which adverts bring in enquiries.
Why we use it and the lawful basis
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, visit the site and quote. If you ask as an individual, the lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract. If you ask for a business, it is our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
We use the advert click reference and campaign tags to measure which adverts produce enquiries, which is our legitimate interest. Google Ads and Google Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them.
Who receives it
Your enquiry reaches us by email. The services involved are: Mailjet, which sends the form to our inbox; Microsoft, which hosts our email; DigitalOcean, which hosts the website; and Cloudflare, which carries traffic to the website. If you accept cookies, Google receives data for Google Ads and Google Analytics. If you accept cookies and also send the form, Google receives your phone number in hashed form, so Google Ads can match the enquiry to the advert you clicked. If you press play on a video, YouTube (Google) receives data to play it.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for marketing.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer relies on UK adequacy regulations, including the UK-US data bridge, or on the International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not become a job for 24 months after our last contact with you. If the enquiry becomes a job, we keep the records for as long as the law requires for that job.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it or restrict how we use it, object to how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, such as for cookies, you can withdraw it at any time. Ask by email or phone.
How to complain
If you are unhappy with how we use your data, email info@hodgedemolition.co.uk with the subject "Data complaint". We will acknowledge it within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commission (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
